If you have never attended a ballroom competition before, congratulations! You’re in for a treat! Here are some helpful hints for how to be a great spectator.
- Cheer! This is not the opera, we encourage clapping and cheering while people are dancing, not just at the end of a round.
- Do you have a favorite couple? Yell their number! This lets everyone else who’s watching know that they should take a look.
- Be respectful of the floor. Never cross the floor unless it’s a designated break, and avoid walking in front of the judges.
